An iron entry door with decorative scrollwork that complements your home’s design can create a striking impression. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, this option is durable, long-lasting, and requires little maintenance. However, over time, iron doors in Phoenix will accumulate dust, necessitating a cleaning session. Wrought iron typically needs less cleaning compared to other metals. Nevertheless, employing the correct cleaning technique is essential to maintain the door’s radiance.

To keep your custom entry door looking it's best, and to ensure you’re giving your stunning new entry door the attention it deserves simply follow these tips on a regular basis:

  • To remove dirt and dust, Allied Iron products should be wiped down using a non-abrasive cleaner with a non-abrasive micro-fiber cloth.

  • To protect against surface rust, which if left unattended could lead to further issues, iron products should be wiped down with a slightly damp micro-fiber cloth, then wiped dry.

  • WD-40, lightly sprayed on a micro-fiber cloth, may also be used to maintain the powder coat finish and retain it's luster. Allied Iron strongly recommends never hosing off custom iron doors.

  • Screens should be cleaned using a damp cloth, a soft bristle painters brush, or vacuum cleaner soft brush attachment.

  • Glass can be cleaned as you would normally, using a commercial glass cleaner and lint-free cloth.

Following these cleaning tips on a regular basis will ensure your custom iron entry door will remain looking as good as it did the day it was installed.

A well-maintained iron door enhances the elegance and longevity of your home's entrance.
