Standard Privacy Gate: Strength With Added Visibility

The Standard Privacy Gate uses 1/2” steel pickets welded vertically between each board. This construction adds strength to the gate while providing a classic custom iron gate appearance. The tradeoff is that the small spaces between the vertical pickets and boards allow somewhat more visibility through the gate. Standard Privacy Gate boards are secured with carriage bolts featuring approximately 1/2” diameter heads. The bolts pass through the boards and are secured with a nut on the back of the gate.

TRU Privacy Gate: Narrower Gaps for More Privacy

The TRU Privacy Gate is designed without vertical pickets, allowing the boards to sit closer together and creating narrower gaps. While no board-style gate completely eliminates visibility, the TRU design significantly minimizes visibility through the gate. TRU Privacy Gate boards are secured with larger button heads, approximately 3/4” in diameter, along with screws. The screws pass through the boards and attach to an internal tube, leaving no visible hardware on the back for a cleaner finished appearance.
