Grand Entryway Details
GE DETAIL 1.png

A. All of our Grand Entry doors are equipped with an insect screen positioned between the exterior iron design and the interior dual-pane operable glass. This feature enables you to open the glass for ventilation while ensuring that insects cannot enter.

B. We create all of our designs by hand at our Tempe facility and prefer to avoid pre-fabricated components, this allows us to provide a diverse range of designs as well as options for material sizes.

C. We also manufacture our own custom pull handles in 9 different styles (click here to explore all the styles). This allows you to select the handle that aligns perfectly with your design preferences.

D. Our door frames are manufactured with both an exterior & interior (Step Frame) trim. The trim is specifically measured and made to be wider than your current wood trim molding. As a result, when the door frame is installed, the (Step Frame) trim will effectively conceal the areas where the old molding was removed, ensuring a seamless installation and in most cases, zero finish work.

A. All of our Grand Entry Doors feature X2 heavy-duty commercial roller latches positioned at both the top and bottom. These latches are designed for easy adjustment and are mortised to fit seamlessly within the door shell. Exercise caution with door manufacturers that install hardware on the surface to expedite production, as this can lead to a subpar finish.

B. All glass components, whether operable glass in the doors or glass installed in the transoms of select doors, are mounted flush. This contrasts with imported doors, where the glass often protrudes from the back.

C. Our double entry doors are equipped with two commercial-grade flush bolts that effectively secure the inactive door. Similar to the roller latches, these flush bolts are mortised to integrate smoothly into the door frame.

D. Ensuring that your door seals effectively is crucial. We utilize a premium dual rubber sweep to create a tight seal between the door and its threshold. During installation, we verify that no visible light is present, guaranteeing a thorough seal.

A. Commercial-grade casement latches are installed along two locations on the operable glass frame. When secured and latched, they create a tight seal against the Q-Lon gasket, ensuring an airtight closure.

B. When the operable glass is secured in the closed position, it rests flush inside the door shell. This distinctive feature is unique to our doors, contributing to a sleek and polished appearance. In contrast, many other door companies tend to have their glass protruding outward, resulting in a bulky and less refined finish.

C. We attach our doors to a robust door jamb/frame using pinned barrel hinges that are designed to support significant weight, exceeding the necessary requirements, all while remaining visibly subtle.

D. Our thresholds are designed for commercial use and are also removable. This characteristic is crucial because this component of a Grand Entry Door is likely to experience the most wear and tear. Some door manufacturers create their doors without a removable threshold, which eliminates the possibility of future replacement/maintenance.
